SDA Fall Semester 2023 will be conducted from January 27th to May 18th, 2024. Please refer to your class calendar on your individual location page for further details.
All registrations need to be done on the website.
No refunds or credits will be issued after registration is complete.
Semester Fees will not be prorated. Fees cannot be adjusted for late registration or refunded for any absences whether planned or unplanned.

Each student can avail a maximum of two make up classes per semester. These make ups must be availed prior to the Spring recess. No make ups will be allowed post Spring break. In case of planned travel, student families must request a make up class please email at ShehnaazDanceAcademy@gmail.com, one week prior to the make up date. Failure to do so will amount in missing the make up class opportunity. If you miss the make up class alloted to you, class, you cannot avail a make up at any other time.
Please Note- Despite our best efforts and logistical planning, students in multiple classes may potentially end up performing in more than one show.

In-Studio Dance Sessions are conducted at the following locations-
- Wednesdays @ My Gym Hamilton Park (252 9th, Jersey City, NJ)
- Tuesdays @ Edgewater Community Center (1167 River Road, Edgewater, NJ)
- Wednesdays & Fridays @ Nimbus Arts Center (329 Warren St, Jersey City, NJ)
- Fridays @ Bhakti Barn Yoga Studio Millburn (391 Millburn Ave, Millburn, NJ)
- Saturdays @ Boys & Girls Club, JC (225 Morris Blvd, Jersey City, NJ)

CLASS RULES

This is a drop off only class. Students must to arrive 10 minutes before the class.
As per the building rules, parents/caregivers are not allowed up the stairs into the classrooms.
Monday- Friday students will be permitted to only carry a bottle of water into the classroom. No food/ snack permitted into the studios.
Saturday 2 hour drop off students must carry a dry snack and water bottle for their snack break.
Students not wearing the SDA Tee shirt will not be allowed on the premises.
Please make sure your child uses the bathroom prior to entering class. Bathrooms are conveniently located on the same floor at all our locations.

Students MUST be dressed in an SDA T-shirt and black athletic bottoms. Uniform tee can be purchased here. No exceptions please.
Masks must be worn during the class. Child size SDA masks can be purchased here.
All hair should be neatly pulled and pinned away from the face.
- Long hair should be tied back in a ponytail or a braid.
Please remove all accessories or dangling jewelry that is distracting.
No tight jeans or trousers. Only leggings or athletic pants which allow freedom of movement will be permitted.
SDA team/personnel or the premise owners are not responsible for the loss of and/or damage to any personal belongings of the students.

Up to 2 make up classes will be offered for our Fall Semester 2023
- In case of pre-planned leave, requests for make-up classes must be emailed at least one week prior to the class.
- Makeup class will be based on schedule and may be at a different location than the one the child has registered at.
- The makeup class will be allotted according to SDA’s convenience and the teacher’s discretion.
- The make up class will be allotted as per SDA’s convenience and teacher’s discretion.
- Makeup classes cannot be availed after November 6th, 2023. Please be mindful to email SDA to makeup missed classes in advance.
Updates/Changes to the Schedule
- SDA communicates primarily via email, so please provide an email at registration that will be checked frequently.
- Please check your spam/promotions/updates folder and /or ensure that SDA emails are received in the primary inbox.
- Any communication relating to class changes, absences must be communicated via email at ShehnaazDanceAcademy@gmail.com.

SDA Showcase date is mentioned on the top of the page at the beginning of the semester and is binding until conveyed otherwise.
Please keep showcase date in mind while planning any travel/leave of absence for students around this time.
Student attendance is mandatory at tech rehearsal.
Students must be dressed in full costume with hair and make up for the dress rehearsals.
Details regarding our Showcases are conveyed close to a month prior to the Showcase date. A detailed email with showcase instructions will be sent out closer to the event date; please go through it thoroughly.
All students irrespective of their participation at the showcase need to collect their costumes before the event.

SDA instructors record videos and take pictures in and during class for assessment and training purposes. Most of these are shot with the utmost regard for students’ privacy.
With the sole purpose of highlighting the positive work we do, we also use some of the pictures and videos for promotional purposes on our website, social media and showreels without revealing the students’ personal details.
Our official photographers click professional photos of each group of performers for parents and SDA to retain them as memories.
SDA seeks photo consent from parents at the outset permitting us to release/post/share/use pictures and videos taken in class, rehearsals and performances as and when deemed necessary. A negative consent may impact the showcase videos/ pictures of the respective child and their group. The picture consent on our registration form needs to be signed and submitted before the classes commence.
Failure to provide SDA photo permission will result in your child being excluded from the group portraits at their respective showcase.
